There are some of us who are blatantly called by God and others who just feel they have some kind of calling. Many of my clients are anxious to discover their calling. Others know theirs but aren’t expressing it fully. Some recognize they could be earning more at it so something is missing or blocking their success. There is often frustration in either case.
If called specifically by God, that may also have its unique concerns surface. God even warned me that working for him is not necessarily easy for the faint of heart. It comes with its unique challenges and it also comes with some significant rewards.
I felt called in my 20s but hesitated because I assumed there wasn’t any money in it (teachings and memories of vows of poverty were triggered). I also had fear of what I might be asked to do. The recollection of the Bible story of Abraham and Isaac came up vividly. Even though I did not have children to consider sacrificing, I figured he could ask me to do something beyond my comprehension or abilities.
I was grateful that in my work for God fulfilling my actual calling, which was to clear the cause of darkness and karma affecting humanity, that I discovered and confirmed that it was actually Satan who manipulated the situation testing Abraham. I was relieved to make that discovery. The more complete version of that story can be read here.
When Archangel Michael came to me in 2004 asking me to write his book, “Wisdom of the Guardian”, and join him in a healing practice, I automatically agreed. It felt right. He dictated the book rather effortlessly typing it out. That was the easy part. Getting it published was something else, however. I didn’t even try. I realized I had to clear myself first and discovered there were 8 lifetimes of persecution I had to clear first. After publishing it, I realized I still wasn’t conveying the message to people, cleared again and discovered approximately 8 additional lifetimes of issues blocking me from moving forward. Each time I cleared, I was able to speak as well as market the messages more effortlessly.
Although this is my story, it is a typical story of light workers, healers and others. Many suffer from fear of being persecuted. And, if called by God, have similar feelings as I shared above. The teachings that have caused fear of God have actually blocked many from serving him when asked. The challenge is also that those same issues often cause blocks to abundance as well and not just because of resisting a particular calling. I can address the further issues of general abundance in another article. But, for the time being, let’s focus on one’s calling.
If you have a calling and not fulfilling it, you are likely experiencing a lack of satisfaction and not realizing the benefits of what it feels like to have that soulful sense of fulfillment. A colleague said the other day that if you have money, fame or fortune, humanity often thinks that is success. But, if you came to the planet to fulfill a particular purpose and didn’t, regardless of money, fame or fortune, you will have failed on your mission to Earth, and possibly the main reason for being born.
THE VALUE OF SUCCESS
The value people place on success determines the outcome. Is the value to play it safe? Is it to meet expectations of society or your parents? Or, is it to do what will actually make your heart sing? I can’t recall how often I have heard the dissatisfaction expressed by doctor and lawyers saying their field was guided by others but it didn’t make them happy. One of my mentors shared once on the subject that most people are not in their right jobs giving several examples including a mortician that was meant to be a comedian.
Even though I was successful at and enjoyed other careers, nothing has ever been more rewarding than following my calling. Does it have its ups and downs? Absolutely. But, nothing has ever felt more natural, flowed as effortlessly, or been as purposeful. But, before I close, I will also add that everything that I did before reaching the appropriate time to fulfill my calling was also purposeful for different reasons. So, even if you have done numerous things prior, it is not about judgment but about encouragement. There may be timing issues and the efforts leading up to where you are now may have been preparation. But, if you are avoiding it or not excelling at it because of fear, that is a shame.
FOLLOWING GOD’S REQUESTS
I have noticed a definite benefit to following God’s requests. My experience has been that the more you do as he asks, the more you are rewarded. Often the reward comes in ways not even anticipated. And, in my role where courage has been required, it still remains the most rewarding thing I have ever done. And, I might add that he really is the best boss. I’ve never had one quite as brilliant, loving and forgiving. I wouldn’t replace him for anyone else, including being my own boss, in the world.
